Birds as Habitat Health Indicators: Friday May 17 - 1PM to 2PM via Zoom. join SLELO PRISM and the Albany Pine Bush to learn how birds can be used as a biological indicator to determine habitat health. KFN field trip Camden Lake Wildlife Area: Sunday May 19 - Kingston Field Naturalist Field Trip - Camden Lake Provincial Wildlife Area. Leader Tom Wheatley. The meeting spot for this event will be at the Invista Sport Complex (northeast parking lot) for 7:30 am. The convoy will arrive at the wildlife area at 8:30 am. Annual General Meeting: Saturday Jun 1 - Newburgh Hall from 10 until noon. AGM business for first 20 minutes followed by guest speaker from the Town of Napanee talking about some of their environmental initiatives. 30 minute presentation with 15 minutes for questions.

Kingston Field Naturalist BioBlitz day 1
Friday Jun 14 - Near Camden East at Avenstone, a 122 acre farm with a number of diverse habitats. Right in the heart of our watershed. Annual BioBlitz aims to create an inventory of as many living things as can be identified within a 24 hour period. Takes place from 3pm on Friday June 14 through to 3pm on Saturday June 15. Event runs rain or shine. Registration at the event is required.
